Projects

Full Sus. Mountain Bike

This projects started at ground zero by choosing the geometry and spending a month on the industrial design.

After doing some materials research tests, I cad'd the entire frame, cnc cut the foam, wrapped it in carbon, and infused it with resin. We also built the rear triangle and all the linkage components from scratch. The complete bike consists of the following components:

  1. Carbon front triangle
  2. Forged carbon inserts
  3. Steel rear triangle
  4. Aluminum bearing cups
  5. Stainless Steel linkage parts
  6. Titanium BB and seat tube

Aether Light V2

Increased modularity

This light, designed from scratch by Ziven, is the last light you will ever need! Its utility comes from the plethora of mounting methods available.

Mounts include everything from hard hats to bikes to a head band!

Tiny House

Built from scratch, starting with a modified trailer.

The next step was framing, then the shell, wiring and plumbing, insulation, roofing, and finish work.

I lived in the tiny house for 3 years of highschool and a semester of covid school, and I miss it every time I leave.

Making your kitchen as smart as you

Looking into smart home tech, and what is next. The stove stood out as a high-use kitchen tool with potential for lots of improvment.

We took a holistic look at what tools would actually help the user and came up with the following:

  1. Fire Prevention
  2. Automated Cooking
  3. Temperature Visualization

Humans aren't sustainable in the long run. People seem to oblivious to this and my theory is it can be overwhelming. By accepting it, we would need to make drastic changes. The idea behind my app is to allow us to accept the truth and make small, incremental changes.

Gravel Bike

Designed, built, and ridden by Ziven

This is the V2 gravel bike, it was designed to handle very confidently on the roughest gravel descents, and certainly does.

Shout out to our sponsor, Redshift components. They provided us with the seat post, stem, handlebars, and handlebar tape. They make some great stuff, so I highly recommend checking them out.

Lite Rack

A cheap, durable, crazy light-weight rack for bikepacking

As a test, I took it on a one night bike packing trip in the Marin Headlands. The racks handled beautifully and gave me some ideas to make an improved V2

A friend of mine saw this project and it sparked a conversation about starting a bike related design company.

Load Cell Testing

In preperation for building a full suspension mountain bike, we needed force data to run FEA on the frame.

Without any good load data to use, we decided to try and collect our own!

This is a work in progress, but I will link the BeHance when I finish (early October)

Iris Chicken Door

*** This was a project I did as a 17 year old in highschool

After losing several chickens to wild animals, I knew we needed an easy way to lock them up at night.

Having been a fan of iris mechanisms, I decided to test my skills and make this door. It went well, but there is much I would change if doing it again now.
